ASSESSMENT PARAMETERS

 Candidates admitted to the course are required to appear all the semester examinations and class tests conducted  at the Institute.  During the course all candidates are also  required  to undergo Industrial  Training of 20 weeks duration for practical exposure.  The students generally undergo  Industrial Training in the key operational areas of hotels and spend nearly five weeks  dedicated to each main department for hands on practical experiences.

INCOURSE ASSESMENT/IGNOU ASSIGNMENT & TERM END SEMESTER EXAMINATION.

 Internal Examinations are held by the Institute for incourse assessment.  The term End Semester Examination is held by the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering  Technology, Noida at the end of the each course and Semester.  The insourse assessment shall denote on performance of the candidate in Term End Semester Examination held at Institute  level and it shall be reckoned as one consolidated mark under the separate head of  incourse assessment.   To pass each Semester,  candidate shall be required to obtain 40% marks in theory and 50% marks in practical subject inclusive  of  incourse assessment.  The weightage of incourse assessment is 25%, Attendance 5% and Term End Examination is 70%.  For IGNOU component students  has to submit assignment in lieu of incourse assignment for each subject.
