How and When to Apply
1. For Three Years B.Sc. in H & HA programme :
For this programme one has to take admission either through all India Joint Entrance Examination(JEE) or through Direct Admission admission from the residual seats. Advertisement for JEE given by NCHMCT and the entrance is conducted by NTA(National Testing Agency) , Govt. of India.
For Direct Admission, Institute advertise in the local news paper and through its own website. One has to apply during July for admission from residual seats. In case of direct admission there is no need for JEE Rank and exam.
2. For One and Half year Trade Diploma Programme :
Admission notification for Diploma Courses is issued by the Institute in the month of May-June every yearin leading newspapers. Prospectus containing application form can be obtained from the Institute onpayment of Rs. 500/- in favour of Institute of Hotel Management, Sajong, Rumtek, Gangtok, Sikkim.
Application form complete in all respects should reach the Institute before 16th of July with a registrationfee of Rs. 1000/-. Duly filled in application must be accompanied by:
a. Birth Certificate
b. Copy of Class X and XII Pass Certificates
c. Medical fitness certificate
d. Two passport sized photographs
E. Photocopy of Reserved Category Certificate from appropriate authority if applicable.
Selection and Admission Procedure :
Candidate shall be selected for admission to any one of the programme through a written test (English language only) followed by personal interview (aptitude for service industry) conducted at the Institute. Final selection of candidate will be based on the combined performance of the candidate in written test and interview. The selection list will be displayed on the Notice Board of the Institute by last week of July and the candidate shall be informed accordingly. Selected candidates are required to pay fees and complete all formalities of admission within 7 days of declaration of the selection list, failing which their candidature shall stand cancelled and admission shall be offered to the wait listed candidates on the merit list. Candidate may also contact the Institute to know the result in their own interest.
